About Clark's Castle Point Resort

Welcome to the Clark’s Castle Point Resort website. In navigating the website, you should find everything needed for planning your next great vacation. Clark’s Castle Point Resort is located just 9 miles north of beautiful Ludington, MI, on majestic Upper Hamlin Lake.

Clark’s Castle Point Resort was established in 1954 by Jack’s Grandfather, Merrill Bennett, and was originally named Castle Point Resort. When Grandpa Bennett handed the resort down to his daughter and son-in-law (Jack’s parents), Janet and Ed Clark, the Clark name was added. Jack and I have since purchased the resort, and are now the third generation of family owning the resort.

We hope you enjoy your visit to our website, and please let us know of any questions we can help with.  We look forward to hearing from you!

What a really nice place to stay. Jean and Jack are the nicest people. I would recommend Clark’s to everyone looking for a nice vacation spot. We are defiantly going to try and come back. The cabin was very nice and clean.

Great place to enjoy life and relax! We have stayed in the smaller cottages and in the big house…The views from either are beautiful but I love the big house it is so charming, comfy and just wonderful views of the lake and the sunsets are magnificent!

Hamlin Lake is located just four miles north of Ludington in West Michigan and is great for water recreation year-round. The lake is great for swimming during summer months as it is typically much warmer than Lake Michigan and has a smaller swimming area, making it easier to keep track of family and friends.

Fishing is Great on Hamlin Lake! Hamlin Lake and its bayous offer an outstanding variety of fish including tiger muskie, northern pike, walleye, large and small mouth bass, perch, crappie and bluegill. Gamefish have been stocked in the lake since the 1890s. During the winter season, ice fishing is popular. Lake Michigan salmon and steelhead are seasonally plentiful at the dam site.
